Gluten-Free Lamb Paprika Recipe

By: Gillian on December 7, 2011

The paprika flavor in this gluten-free lamb recipe conjures up the Middle East. It can be served with rice or boiled potatoes.

8 lamb chops
1 Tbs butter
1 medium-sized onion, skinned and chopped
4 tomatoes, peeled and sliced
1 Tbs chopped, fresh parsley
1 Tbs paprika
Salt
1 cup sour cream or yogurt (gluten-free)

Gluten-Free Lamb Paprika RecipePreheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Over medium heat, melt the butter in a skillet or frying pan and add the lamb chops; brown on both sides and then remove from the pan. Fry the chopped onions in the remaining fat until golden brown. Put the cooked onions, tomatoes, parsley, paprika and salt to taste in a lidded casserole dish; place the chops on top and put on the lid. Bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 1 1/2 hours. Stir in the sour cream or yogurt, adjust seasonings to taste and bring back to heat without boiling.
